MAST Designs a Sustainable, Modular System for Building Floating Architecture
Our pool interiors set us apart from others, featuring smooth, flat surfaces instead of the typical corrugated metal. Unlike competitors who simply spray the inside of the pool, our pools are enhanced with 8-layers and a polymer membrane lining. This allows for a finish that mimics high-quality tile, vibrant colors, or intricate patterns, all while ensuring there is no risk of rust. Its non-porous structure resists stains and algae growth while reducing maintenance and providing a high performance surface for many years.
Kid-Friendly Pool Designs
- Once the desired design has been established, according to the architecture of the destination site, we use the 3D model and divide it into modules with our system.
- We work constantly to offer to the customer a product of highest quality.
- Standard 4cm PIR thermal insulation retains heat effectively, reducing energy costs and extending the usability of your modular pool.
- Forget extensive groundwork and complicated plumbing; it’s all about ease.
Design, a profoundly creative process to alleviate difficulties in the built environment, is prospected to enhance this construction method. Under this circumstance, many guidelines, recommendations, and avoidances have been proposed to design. Are modular pools suitable for rehabilitation, wellness centers, or hospitality facilities? , therefore, argues that MC also provides new design opportunities, which have not been yet extensively investigated. It does so by comprehensive literature review and detailed archival study of successful case studies.
BREAKING NEW GROUND
Healthcare FacilitiesHealthcare facilities often benefit from modular design due to the need for rapid and scalable construction. Modular clinics and hospitals can be built quickly to meet urgent healthcare demands. These facilities are designed with pre-fabricated modules that include patient rooms, operating theaters, and diagnostic areas, ensuring that they comply with medical standards and regulations. An example of stacking is the B2 Tower in New York City, one of the tallest modular buildings in the world. The tower’s modular design allowed for rapid construction and reduced costs. The quick assembly, typically completed in just 2-3 days, further minimizes your carbon footprint.
Unique Aesthetic Elements
Bespoke design solutions, the cornerstone of conventional practice, make standardizing processes and scaling services challenging. This focus also leads to fragmented workflows among firms and stakeholders. The stability and establishment of traditional practices can breed a risk-averse culture, hampering disruptive innovations within the industry. Many of the benefits of modular construction rely on precise timing of deliverables as well as a design that’s easy to both manufacture and assemble. Offsite manufacturing is not yet a commodity like many traditional building materials so suppliers will often have a larger role in project fulfillment. For instance, a company such as Marriott may partner with an offsite builder on a modular or pre-fab initiative (or even implement program wide) along with their existing team of architects and general contractors.
The Smart Pool.Experience the future of swimming.
This method enables greater flexibility, quicker construction times, and easier future modifications compared to traditional building techniques. By adopting modular architecture, architects and builders can create versatile structures that can be easily expanded, relocated, or repurposed to meet changing needs. This study explores how the logic of product modularity could be useful for the design of complete residential building areas. Previous research has noted that product modularity is usually only applicable if a ‘full modularization’ approach is pursued (i.e., an approach with completely defined modules). Therefore, an approach towards partial product modularity is sought instead.
Modular Endless™ Pools
As you consider enhancing your outdoor space, it’s important to weigh the benefits of modular pools against traditional options. While traditional pool installations can stretch over weeks, you’ll find that modular pools offer a remarkably efficient installation process. As construction materials costs increase, builders and developers are seeking alternatives to traditional home construction methods to address housing shortages. In response, an expanding construction technology field is the 3D printing sector. This technology promises quicker, cheaper construction and the potential to extrude local and recycled materials.
Design & Configuration
This research aims to address that gap by adapting the conceptualization of product modularity so that it can effectively be used in the house-building industry. The methodological approach adopted in this study was Design Science Research, and two empirical studies were carried out on construction companies based in Brazil and in the U.K. Those studies are used to illustrate the applicability and utility of the proposed concepts and tools. Research findings indicate that the adoption of product modularity concepts results in benefits to both traditional construction technologies and prefabricated building systems. Many companies in Sweden using prefabricating strategies are currently meeting the ever increasing customer requirements with ad-hoc solutions that do not fit their production system. Over time, it has been complemented by various environmental, sustainable, ecological, and economic factors to achieve the adaptability and functionality desired by its inhabitants. This modular house, with a steel and concrete structure, is located in a residential town very close to Barcelona. As we said, this quality and premium finishes house has several peculiarities. The first thing is that it’s a prefabricated house with a prefabricated swimming pool. For the first time, inHAUS also implements the almost finished pool, instead of executing the work on the plot, as we usually do. The architecture, engineering and construction sector is fragmented, and its computer-aided design systems suffer data loss and errors in workflow between design and realisation. The goal is to explore the utility and effectiveness of this tool and its ability to facilitate change. A parametric model of the apartment block is made and various aspects of the modular format are applied to its assembly and components. Combined as a computational design and building assembly tool, the benefits of the modular format may be exploited. Thus flexibility, adaptability, changeability and reusability are maximised. The realization of Modular Construction (MC) is impeded by several barriers, e.g., initial investment, logistics constraints, and negative perception.
INTEGRATED SYSTEMS
It includes value and opportunities of modular design, pitfalls designers should be wary of, and case studies that exemplify successes and obstacles. As the construction landscape evolves, modular and prefab methods will become much more prevalent. As an architect, you may need to work within the boundaries of this construction process due to a client requirement. Unlike permanent structures that define a fixed relationship with surrounding architecture, telescopic systems allow for multiple spatial configurations and evolving relationships with adjacent spaces.
